A. Joelle is a Unicorn--unique and mystical. Full of wonder and magic.
The Dancing Unicorn is the result of Joelle putting her multitalented passions together. As an aspiring model and professional dancer, she wants to entertain the world with her unique abilities. Dancing and singing since 5 years old, she's always enjoyed bringing that flair to the stage! Joelle is well rounded dancer, trained in all styles of dance from concert to commercial. She also loves doing make up and fashion as well.
As the quintessential emerging Atlanta star, she trained at Atlanta’s best dance studios including McClendon School of Dance and AREA, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in NY during her summer months. In addition, she has been taught by some of the industry leading notables including: Lisa Johnson Willingham, Hope Boykin, Mitchell Kelly, Jaquel Knight, Sean Bankhead, Juel Lang, Saidah Nairobi, Chloe Arnold, to name a few.
The Dancing Unicorn has performed for the professional dance company, Atlanta Dance Connection as well with award-winning artist B.o.B., Verse Simmonds, and served as a brand ambassador for brands including national dancewear brand - Eurotard Dancewear. She most recently completed a project where key black figures in HERstory came to life from a book, in conjunction with Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre Company and the Center for Civil and Human Rights, as Raven Wilkinson, the first African American woman to dance for a major ballet company.
Joelle is currently a student at the #1 HBCU in the country, Spelman College, majoring in Dance with a minor in Food Science, and a dance instructor and choreographer at AREA. Her aspirations include becoming a Nutritionist focusing on healthy eating habits to fuel dancers on and off the dance floor and one day running her own studio!
